Care & Longevity

How attention extends the life of what you choose

Care begins with intention

What you choose to keep close deserves time and consideration.

Care, for us, is not about preservation in the abstract. It is about allowing what you wear to age with you — thoughtfully, honestly, and without unnecessary intervention.

Longevity is shaped by how something is treated, not how often it is worn.

Wearing with awareness

Natural fibres respond to use. They soften, settle, and adapt with time.

Allow space between wears. Let what you wear rest and recover. These pauses are not indulgent — they are essential to maintaining balance and structure over the years.

Cleaning with restraint

We recommend minimal cleaning, only when necessary.

When required, gentle hand care or professional dry cleaning is preferable. Avoid frequent washing, harsh detergents, or prolonged soaking. These diminish character rather than preserve it.

Less intervention allows longevity.

Storing with care

Storage matters as much as use.

Keep folded in breathable cotton or muslin, away from direct light and moisture. Avoid plastic covers, which trap heat and restrict airflow. Periodic airing helps maintain freshness and balance.

Protection should never suffocate.

Living marks of time

Subtle shifts in texture or tone are not flaws. They are signs of use, presence, and continuity.

We believe these changes add depth rather than detract from value. What remains untouched does not evolve.

Passing on

What is well cared for carries forward — not just physically, but in meaning.

Whether kept, shared, or passed on, longevity allows what you choose to remain relevant beyond a single moment or season.

Why this matters

Care is an extension of respect — for the people who made what you wear, and for your own story as it unfolds.

Longevity is not achieved through caution alone, but through attentiveness.

Attention is the quietest form of care.
